Av. Nossa Senhora do Cabo, 101
Schedule: From Mondays to Sundays | 08:00 am – 01:00 am
With a privileged view over the Atlantic Ocean, Casa da Guia, dating back to 1895, year when the owner concluded the extended building works, that took nearly a decade. Due to what seems to be health reasons, the owner was advised by Pasteur – a personal friend – to benefit from the good airs that could be absorbed in the Guia area, as it was a passing point of the Gulf stream.
This was how this beautiful and elegant manor house, with the weapons of a rich family, was born. Today, all of us can enjoy these riches that still keep the nobility and class of ancient times. One thing is for certain, Pasteur couldn’t be more correct, as the good airs which justified its edification are still part of the brand image of this astonishing location placed by the sea.
Between the warm ochre of the Main-House and the intense blue of the ocean, you can always spend good leisure time at Casa da Guia. From a simple comforting coffee to enjoying a meal alone, or with friends or family, shopping, pampering yourself, decorating your house or culturally enriching yourself, there are many different things you can do here, always keeping the serenity it resembles.
Its pathways are hidden between the shadows of leafy pines and cedars over the Portuguese cobblestone, sided by colourful spots of flowers.
The background noise? The sing of numerous birds and a faint buzz of some insects.
Besides having an ample and free parking space at the door, one of the main attractive points is the fact that anyone can reach it through a pleasant walk or a nice bike ride.
Whether it is Summer or Winter, this is, without question, a place you should always stop to visit. If you don’t know it yet, we are sure you will be pleasantly surprised to discover it.
